The Bristlecone Primary Community is the heart of our legacy Montessori program and reflects what Treehouse Montessori School has been built upon for more than two decades.
This Montessori Program is for Ages 2.5 through 7
Within its mixed-age environment, children engage in purposeful, hands-on learning across practical life, sensorial exploration, language, mathematics, cultural studies, science, art, and care for their community.
Children are given uninterrupted time to concentrate, repeat, problem-solve, collaborate, and make meaningful choices. Younger children learn through observing older classmates, while older children deepen their knowledge through leadership, responsibility, and mentorship.
Our Montessori guides observe carefully and introduce lessons according to each child’s development and readiness. The result is an environment that supports academic growth while cultivating independence, confidence, empathy, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.

Indoor Montessori Classroom

The Nature Explorer Classroom
Movement, Imagination, and Wonder
Our expansive outdoor classroom gives children room to climb, balance, build, dig, collaborate, investigate, and encounter the natural world. Outdoor time is not separate from learning at Canopy. It is an essential part of it. You’ll find us learning and exploring outdoors, in rain, snow, and sunshine.
Wonder Community Garden
Learning to Care and Contribute
Children plant, water, harvest, observe living systems, prepare food, and help care for the shared Canopy garden.
Through these experiences, children discover that their work can nourish both themselves and their wider community.

No previous Montessori experience is required. Placement is considered thoughtfully according to each child’s age, development, readiness, classroom balance, and available space.
